Players Wanted Airsoft was founded in 2019 to create immersive, community-focused airsoft events at extraordinary locations.
Today, we proudly call the historic Cresson Sanatorium and Prison home. With prison cell blocks, massive buildings, urban and wild terrain, and unique game scenarios, it offers one of the most memorable airsoft experiences in the country.

Where is Cresson Sanatorium and Prison?
Cresson Sanatorium and Prison is located in central PA in Cresson, Pennsylvania, approximately 90 minutes east of Pittsburgh, and 15 minutes from Altoona, PA.
What makes this AO unique?
The property features prison cell blocks, institutional buildings, urban terrain, open spaces, and a variety of environments that create a truly unique gameplay experience. No two areas of the site feel the same.
Do I need to register before the event?
Yes. All players must complete registration, sign the event waiver, and attend the mandatory safety briefing before participating.
What eye protection is required?
Full-seal eye protection meeting ANSI Z87.1 High Impact standards or higher is required at all times in gameplay areas. Players who do not have approved eye protection will not be permitted to participate.
Is lower face protection required?
Players under 18 must wear lower face protection. Mesh masks, cloth lowers, and sports mouth guards are acceptable options.
What equipment is required?
All players must carry a dead rag, dead light for night operations, a tourniquet, a 2-foot ace wrap, and a flashlight or weapon light.
Are HPA systems allowed?
Yes. HPA systems are permitted, but regulators must be locked before gameplay.
Are full-auto and binary triggers allowed?
Binary triggers are prohibited. Full-auto fire is not permitted inside buildings, including for SMGs and LMGs.
Are grenades allowed?
Taginn and Enola Gaye products are permitted where event rules allow. Smoke grenades may not be used indoors. Launchable pyrotechnics are prohibited. Sound grenades have a 15-foot kill radius.
What should I do if there is an emergency?
The safety call is "Blind Man." If you hear this call, immediately stop all movement and gameplay until staff announces "Game On."
Are real weapons allowed on site?
No. Real firearms, knives, or other weapons are strictly prohibited.
What areas are off limits?
Roofs are always off limits. Certain buildings, rooms, stairwells may be closed at any given event. Off-limit areas will be clearly marked. Do not cross caution tape, enter restricted spaces, climb ladders, or access roofs under any circumstances. Violations will result in a site ban.
Can I move furniture, block doors, or alter the environment?
No. Players may not block doorways, modify structures, move fixtures, or intentionally damage any part of the property. This site is being actively preserved, and we ask all players to respect it.
Does friendly fire count?
Yes. Friendly fire counts. Know your target before engaging.
Can I blind fire?
No. You must always be able to see where you are shooting. Blind firing is prohibited.
How will I identify staff?
Event staff will be clearly identified during each event and are responsible for safety, gameplay administration, and player support. Follow all staff instructions while on site.
Is camping available?
Camping availability varies by event. If camping is offered, details will be included on the event page and registration information.
Are food and drinks available?
Food availability varies by event. Players should always plan to bring water and any personal supplies they may need throughout the day.
Can beginners attend?
Absolutely. Players Wanted welcomes new players and experienced veterans alike. If it's your first event, arrive early, attend the briefing, and don't hesitate to ask staff or other players for help.
